Cold outreach
Last updated
Cold outreach is contacting a prospect who has no prior awareness of you, typically through unsolicited email or messages. The recipient doesn’t recognize the sender, which is why response rates tend to be low.
Why it matters: Cold outreach scales easily but converts poorly, because it asks for a stranger’s attention with nothing to anchor it. Most modern GTM tools optimize the cold message itself, the alternative is to make the outreach not cold in the first place.
